The KoreanClass101 review was originally published in Dulaboo.com. I used to write for the said website before my contract expired. Republishing here for archiving purposes. Edited to suit Yoast’s requirements.
If you’ve been following DuLaBoo, you’re familiar of the season opener I wrote about Learn-Korean.net. I find it easier to learn a foreign language (or any subject for that matter) if it comes with an audio-visual presentation appropriate to the subject taught. Of course, some exceptions apply.
In my quest of finding a good language learning program, I found KoreanClass101.com among one of the first websites that came up on my search. I got hooked with their crisp imagery and straightforward video explaining briefly their language tutorial services.
Just like the Korean tutorial services of Loecsen.com, the Korean language lessons provided here are accessible to your mobile phone and tablet, downloadable too just in case that the internet service provider get into some connectivity problems but didn’t want any interruptions on your Korean lessons.
You know what got me signing up even just for a try? It’s the free lifetime account instant access as promised in the video. In other words, sign up now and enjoy the language lessons that KoreanClass101.com has to offer. For a language tutorial program that is free, knowing that I have lifetime access with my lessons is such a valuable perk.
Despite the “free lifetime” tag as promised in the orientation video, I had a hunch that the language lessons KoreanClass101.com had a premium version too. I meant that in a good way. If a product is really that good, those who can afford to pay are willing to pay for better service. That usually happens whenever some customers become supportive of you.
By the time I put in my name and email into the log boxes, I waited for some deals that come with the confirmation email. And this is what I saw upon clicking.
I can sense the urgency but is there really a need to include THIS message just to give credence to the urgency?
At least they censored the poor fellow’s full name. But still it somewhat scares those who didn’t take the free offer into jumping in out of fear that sly shaming tactics like this might happen to them. And obviously, I didn’t bite the bullet with a scare tactic this distasteful.
KoreanClass101.com didn’t mention any date or deadline on until when does this free offer last. The explanation given for the urgency was not enough for me to give my card details to them.
Even if the promos and the packaging turned to be really enticing, I just don’t appreciate the snotty way they offered this free deal. Maybe months later by the time they have decided to adjust their marketing tactics in a way that doesn’t leave a bad taste to the mouth.
Good news. KoreanClass101.com is still up. Not with the same promos though. Click here to see their latest promos and freebies, if any. I’d still recommend them for anyone interested to learn Korean though. Best experienced by following them on Twitter. Have fun.
